How do I join AANA?

AANA is open to CRNAs, RNs, and students of nurse anesthesia programs

For CRNAs

Note: AANA membership runs from September 1 through August 31 annually. AANA does not prorate dues, so if you join/re-join during the middle of the year, you are still responsible for all twelve months of membership.

For International CRNAs

An international member must also be a member of the International Federation of Nurse Anesthetists (IFNA). International members must have completed a program of basic nursing and nurse anesthesia education and be qualified and authorized to practice anesthesia in a country other than the United States. Once you have the documentation including IFNA membership, you can request to become an international member.

For Registered Nurses

A new AANA membership category will be releasing in September 2024 for registered nurses (RNs) or advanced practice registered nurses (APRNs) thinking of becoming a CRNAs/nurse anesthesiologists. Sign up to be the first to receive more information about this program and explore the RN-APRN membership FAQs.

For Students

If you are entering an accredited nurse anesthesia program, please contact your program administrator for help. They will guide you through the process.
